The transluscent opals show the structure of the fused honeycomb design behind them, creating extra sparkles and flashes of golden light. These opals have ALL the colors in them, including red which is very rare. The open hexagon design is lightweight, doesn't catch on hair (even curly hair like mine) and shows the contrast of your hair/skin color behind it. They make me think of little abstract bees the way the geometry shines behind the stones.

Opals are more delicate than other stones and should be stored away from sharp jewelry such as diamonds etc. Always put jewelry on last and take it off first, to avoid getting products on them. Do not clean in ultrasonic, ionic cleaner is ok, make sure to rinse and dry thoroughly afterwards, and never soak opals in water as they can absorb it. Basically, keep water contact to a minimum and make sure to air dry them after towel drying before enclosing to make sure all water has evaporated.

Opals are slightly absorbent and more delicate than other stones, but are still sturdy enough for everyday wear if you know what not to do with them.
Keep away from water, chemicals, and extreme heat or cold. If they do get wet, dry thoroughly and allow to air dry fully before enclosing it. Store separately from other jewelry to avoid scratches.
